Whilst it may seem early to be writing to you on this subject, we have already received a number of enquiries regarding available student properties for the 2021/22 Academic Year here in Sheffield. We therefore would like to advise you that we will commence organising viewings for the 2021/22 academic year from the end of October 2020. This is typically a busy time, with many students wanting to secure the best and most popular properties and this year we are expecting demand to be even higher.
Each year, many of our tenants ask if they may stay with us at their existing property for a further academic year and renew their tenancy. If all of you believe you may wish to stay on in the same property for a further year (or you have confirmed replacements to form a complete group at the property and can achieve full occupancy for a further year), then please let us know as soon as possible so that we can begin the re-application process (subject to Landlord approval and property availability), arrange tenancy document signing, and not disturb you by showing alternative customers around the property.
Whether you would like to stay on, or you have other plans, if you have changed your contact details please do ensure you have informed us so that we can keep our records up to date, and make sure that you receive our viewing notifications.
Please note: for any current "Dove" tenants who wish to renew their tenancy for a further year, at the same property, we will typically “roll over” your current deposit for a further year meaning you would not have to make a new deposit payment. Please note that this is subject to Landlord approval and property availability.
Should you wish to stay with Dove Properties but require an alternative property, we have significantly increased the number of refurbished, modern properties in our portfolio and have properties located in all of the most popular student areas including Broomhill, Broomhall, Ecclesall Road, Crookes, Crookesmoor, Hunters Bar, Shoreham Street and the City Centre. In order for us to keep the disturbance to a minimum during lettings season, it would be a huge help if you could try to keep the property clean and presentable for viewings, this should help enable us to rent the property quicker, and so mean fewer viewings and less inconvenience to yourselves.
Here at Dove, the safety and well-being of our tenants, staff and viewers is extremely important. We are therefore conducting all viewings in line with government guidance and we would ask that you open all internal doors before we arrive and where possible vacate your property whilst viewings are taking place in order to minimise unnecessary contact.
