Key Collection Summer 2020, Check You Are Ready
The majority of our student tenancies are due to start shortly. Please take a moment to make sure you and your housemates have done everything you need to, so that your key collection can go as smoothly as possible.
HAVE YOU SUBMITTED YOUR GUARANTOR FORM?
When selecting a guarantor to fill out your form, please remember that guarantors must be over 21 years of age, living in the UK, These forms must be filled out and signed by your chosen guarantor, witnessed, and sent to us. Please email to email@example.com.
HAVE YOU SUBMITTED YOUR STANDING ORDER CONFIRMATIONS?
We also need to see proof that your standing orders are in place, ready to pay your rent. Once you've set up your standing orders, just take a screenshot (if you're using online banking) or ask for a receipt, and let us have a copy of this (this can be by email). Please be sure to remove any confidential information.
If you need a blank copy of your payment schedule to set up your standing orders, or a blank guarantor form, we're more than happy to send these over to you. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll send you what you need.
HAVE YOU SET UP YOUR FIRST RENT?
The majority of our student tenancies have a first rental payment date of 18th June (please check your payment schedule to be certain when your payment dates fall). If this applies to you, please ensure your first payment is set up in time. Late payment could result in a delay to your key collection and late payment charges may also apply, so please make sure your rent is paid in accordance with your tenancy agreement.
Please include a reference with your payment, and carefully check your payment schedule to see where your next rents should be paid (it may be your landlord's account).
Alternatively, payments can be made on our website at: https://www.sheffieldstudenthousing.co.uk/payments/
HAVE YOUR HOUSEMATES DONE EVERYTHING REQUIRED?
Without these documents, and all tenants' first rent payments fully cleared, distribution of keys to any tenants in your property may be delayed. Even if you've submitted everything that you need to, if your housemate hasn't a delay to key collection may occur.
WHERE TO COLLECT KEYS
Once all your first rent payments have cleared into our bank account and we've received all tenants' guarantor forms and standing order confirmations for the property, you can arrange a key collection appointment for the property.
If you are in a property managed by Dove Properties, this collection appointment will be with us at the office during office hours after the tenancy start and subject to Covid-19 Government guidance and restrictions. This should be arranged by one of your group emailing email@example.com.
If you are in a property managed day to day by your Landlord, you should arrange key collection direct with them after your first property rents have all cleared. They can then look to hand out keys following your tenancy start, providing everything required has been completed by all tenants.
To check whether your property is "Managed" by Dove or by your Landlord, please see page 2 of your tenancy agreement. The contact information there will be for either ourselves or your landlord.
Thank you, and we wish you a great 2020/21 in Sheffield.
